2: Merry

Christmas has come and gone…provided you’re only celebrating based on the calendar days. I’m pre-typing this again and we are scheduled to go to my parents house on the 23rd, we will spend Christmas Eve there. On Christmas Day we will head to my grandma’s house, and today the 26th I’ll likely still hang out there to enjoy some extra family time.

I have the week between Christmas and New Years off because the company I work for changed their PTO policy. I would have happily worked the 28th and 29th, maybe even the 27th and 30th if I had to. Technically we have early release on the 31st, but I still don’t want to work that day.

The extra time off (my 5 carryover days that I had to burn) have been helpful with moving. Although my closet still feels like it could use some organization work. Supposedly the Container Store does decent New Years sales, so I’ll have to check out what they might have.

For New Years we are heading to Wisconsin. We will be there for a few days, although I hope we come home on January 1 so that we can have the 2nd back at home and settled.

Do you have more holiday celebrations coming up in the next week or so?

  1. I hope you had a nice time with family! I know a lot of people who have the week between Christmas and New Years off. It would be kind of nice. But it is super quiet at work so it’s not a bad time to work, especially when you WFH!

We are seeing some friends on NYE but I will leave with Will around 7 so I can put him down for the night. That’s it for plans for this week which I am happy about!
