Singles’ Awareness Day (Valentine’s Day) has come and gone. While I’m not in a relationship at the moment. I am more than okay with that. I believe it is far more important to be with the right person than some person.
I also don’t have a list of “must haves” for a potential relationship. Things change. The person I was at ages 13, 19, and 23 have all been different people, I’ll be 26 in a few months and again, things have changed.
Personally, I’m happy that I’ve only had to worry about my own goals and dreams. Sure it would be nice to have a partner in the mix, but doing my own thing is also a gift.
Did you celebrate Valentines Day? What did you do and who were you with?
Amen, sista! I am all about myself at this stage in my life. Doing things I’ve always wanted to and focusing on what I need to do for ME. Honestly, I’m in such a limbo in my life right now that adding a relationship would just be another “to do” to add to the list. But if it comes than it comes, but I am not forcing anything.
Yay!!! I don’t want to force a relationship either. (now or ever really).
My Valentines Day consisted of me, thai food, binge watching house of cards, and working on my data. I was more than OK with that! I am all about showing love on Valentines day to the people I love in my life, even if I don’t have a significant other. At this point in my life, my goal is just to get out of grad school alive and although sometimes it makes me sad that I don’t have anyone to share it with, I have way bigger fish to fry right now and need to concentrate on that!
Oh man, other than the data, your valentines day sounds great to me!
I celebrated Valentine’s Day with my husband. But, I didn’t get married until I was well into my 30s so I have celebrated many Valentine’s Days with me, myself and the cats!
Well said! Enjoy being single! We had a late V-Day dinner since my husband didn’t get home until about 10pm. It was nice to not go to a crowded restaurant!
