I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for a new month! I’m ready to move forward and while I’m buried in work today, I’m hoping to get a lot done this week! My room is mess, last night I finally opened my #HLBtea from Kelly of Living the Before.
Thanksgiving morning I taught a 9 am Sculpt class, it felt great to get my sweat on! From there, I went to my real job and did payroll as well as some other work. Then I went home quick to make cranberry sauce, and prep the veggies for my stuffing. Then my family and I went and watched Catching Fire and then…this happened. Not a traditional Thanksgiving meal, but the elements were all pretty much there.
(No I did not eat that entire steak, and there was some Pumpkin Pie).
Friday morning I got up early and attended two 90 minute classes! The first one was a spin/run class, which I loved!! We did 15 minutes on the bike, 15 minutes on the treadmill, 3 times, with different workouts each time. I was definitely the slowest, but it felt so good to move, and my knees didn’t hurt!!
The second class was a 90 minute sculpt. After teaching sculpt the day before, and the spin/run immediately before I was tired, sore, and yet so grateful to not be teaching and just getting to enjoy a class.
Friday night my mom’s family and I went to Smack Shack to celebrate my aunt’s birthday. It was so fun to sit next to my cousin Jenny who is a freshman in college. We shared the shrimp po boy which was spicy and delicious, as well as the Connecticut lobster roll. Saturday morning I took her to Corepower Yoga and took the C1 class with one of my favorite instructors, Colleen.
There was some shopping Saturday, and church Sunday followed by a huge leftover dinner at my Grandma’s house before we had to drive back up north. This morning I taught my first 5:30 am class, which I will only be doing on Mondays to start with, but it felt good to get to work a little earlier, and be able to blog right now 🙂
I hope you all have an amazing December! What are you looking forward to this month?
That steak looked amazing!! I hope your December goes better for you than November, you deserve to end the year on a high note!
I am looking forward to really digging in at lab this month and producing more results so I can start writing my dissertation in January! And I am looking forward to holiday baking, of course 🙂
Yay!! Do you get a Christmas break? Or will you be working??

Nice workouts!! That meal looks delicious, I think I would’ve eaten the whole steak!!
Wow, two 90 minute classes?! You go girl! Spin/Run class sounds awesome though!
Yeah…I was questioning my sanity during that second class, but it all worked out!
I love Smack Shack! I’m looking forward to going back to my hometown for Christmas and lots of holiday dinners and get-togethers with friends.
