Not What I Expected

“If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.”

Today is my two year blogiversary. I started thinking about it in September, I wanted to do a special post since my 1 year blogiversary was overlooked in my stress of last year.

But November 4th (last Monday) my family got a surprise, my Grandpa Bill passed away. I was blessed to get 25 years with all four grandparents living, so this past week as been a struggle. I spent the week either at work trying to get things done as quickly as possible, or hanging at my grandma’s house with relatives.

bill and patMy eyes have been opened to the realities of funerals and the responsibilities that come along with them. Things that I never considered or noticed when other family members passed. I suppose its comes with being an adult now.

More than likely I’ll be quiet on the blog for another few days. My parents, brother and I had already planned on taking our “Thanksgiving vacation” this weekend, so I’m not sure when or what I will post next.

I hope you all take care, and thank you for joining me on this journey.

  1. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I too was blessed to have all 4 grandparents around for quite a long time and it was very hard when my grandfather passed away. Take time to grieve and be with your family.
