“If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.”
Today is my two year blogiversary. I started thinking about it in September, I wanted to do a special post since my 1 year blogiversary was overlooked in my stress of last year.
But November 4th (last Monday) my family got a surprise, my Grandpa Bill passed away. I was blessed to get 25 years with all four grandparents living, so this past week as been a struggle. I spent the week either at work trying to get things done as quickly as possible, or hanging at my grandma’s house with relatives.
My eyes have been opened to the realities of funerals and the responsibilities that come along with them. Things that I never considered or noticed when other family members passed. I suppose its comes with being an adult now.
More than likely I’ll be quiet on the blog for another few days. My parents, brother and I had already planned on taking our “Thanksgiving vacation” this weekend, so I’m not sure when or what I will post next.
I hope you all take care, and thank you for joining me on this journey.
Oh, Katie, I am so, so sorry. I am praying for both you and your family during this time. Be as silent as you want – we will all be here when you get back.
Thanks Amy, it was a debate all last on whether or not to post, so I figured I should say something at least a small update.
So sorry for your loss. Family comes first, always. Your blogging family is always here for support too!
