Looking Back: 2013 Resolutions

First things first: I wrote this post about my 2013 Resolutions.

And must say I’m doing pretty good! In that post I also linked to the Superiorman Tri, but have now realized…that particular race will NOT be happening in 2014. A triathlon, yes, the Superiorman? Heck no.

I am so happy with all that I have accomplished this year. You can click on my Races page to see more details. But also completing Yoga Sculpt training, and teaching which is now up to 3 days a week!

I stay busy and active, and for the most part healthy. My weight hasn’t changed as much as I would like, but mentally I am doing so much better than I was last year. Part of staying mentally healthier is recognizing what I need, and getting it. Sometimes I need to busy and get out of the house. Other times I know I’ve stretched myself too thin and need to take a break.

In 24 days I will be completing another half marathon. If you think I’m crazy, I agree with you. A friend of mine recently moved to Duluth and I swear there is something in the water over there, the town just makes you want to start running! When my friend told me she was doing the Monster Dash Half on October 26th in St. Paul, MN. I couldn’t let her do it without me. I wanted to be a part of it.

So instead of 2013 being the year of the marathon, its been the year of everything! I’m not quite sure how I will train for 13.1 miles in 24 days, but I plan on taking it one step at a time, like I have done everything else.

By the end of 2013 I would like to accomplish at least 1 CrossFit Wod, and at least 1 pool workout.

My plan in 2014 is to participate in at least 1 triathlon. If you know of any good ones in Minnesota/Wisconsin, please let me know!

Are you still working on 2013 Resolutions? Have you put any thought into your 2014 resolutions?

  1. I love resolutions! They keep you on track! It’s so cool you teach Yoga Sculpt – that’s one of my favorite classes. Impressive you teach it 3 times a week!

    1. Thank you! I teach Monday and Friday mornings and then Wednesday afternoons. I love the afternoon class, because I like after work workouts. But the morning ones are a great way to keep myself accountable!

  2. I have been so focused on my monthly goals I have completely forgotten what my 2013 goals are. I think one was to run 2000 miles this year. I don’t think I am going to make that one since I am doing more than just running these days. Fine by me!

  3. Yay, good luck on the half!!! I love the Irongirl triathlon in WI but theres also one in the WI Dells and Madison too. I know a place you can stay if you sign up (with me!)

  4. Wow, go you! You’ve accomplished so much this year! I feel like I need to reassess some of my goals, I didn’t accomplish as much as I would have liked. This year has felt like a blur!
