I’m Home. (There’s no way I can put an exclamation point behind that). I’m glad to be in my own bed, but part of me would have been just fine living with my three wonderful roommates a few more days. Not to mention hanging out with all the other wonderful women in attendance at the Healthy Living Summit.
Me, Emily (More than just Dessert), Marissa (Barefoot Colorado). Sadly our other roomie Emily (Sinful Nutrition) had to leave early Sunday morning for her flight.
Saturday was jammed packed with sessions, I loved breakfast in the morning, especially the egg scramble which was the best tasting hotel eggs I’ve ever had!
I was tempted to overload on the coffee that was available all day, but I did make sure to drink plenty of water as well. The amount of snacks available was very overwhelming, I was a little nervous I would graze all day, but I actually did a really good job of waiting to eat until I was hungry.
I did not restrict myself when it came to beer…For those of you who don’t know Spotted Cow is a beer you can only purchase in Wisconsin.
Thankfully Emily is living in Madison and was willing to bring some to share! (and next year we can continue the tradition!)
I will have much more to share throughout the next week, but I want to say that “Cards Against Humanity” is the best game ever, and if you are even remotely interested in my posts about the Healthy Living Summit you should join us in Madison, Wisconsin in 2014!
Here are my recaps from Thursday and Friday!
For now, I need to go to bed! What do you want to hear about next? The sessions? The brands that attended? Or The swag/prizes?
I want to hear more about Morgan Freeman’s voice (inspired by other Em’s tweet).
Miss you guys already!
Well we all know Bill Nye is usually a winner.
New Glarus beer is the best!! 🙂
I’ve only had Spotted Cow, what else should I try?
My favorite of theirs is Laughing Fox, but that can be hard to find sometimes. But I also really like Two Women. Really, you can’t go wrong.
“The best tasting hotel eggs I’ve ever had” <– I know, right? I wish I had written down what was in them because I need to recreate them!
It was great to meet you Katie!
Love love love spotted cow beer! I wish I had heard about this event earlier- it sounds like it was fun (and conveniently located across the river…)!
Did you girls play Cards Against Humanity?! Oh man, I should’ve crashed.
We sure did! It was a quick game, but next year it might have to be a mini mingle….
I wanna hear about it all!! So glad it was a blast:)
It was so nice to meet you this weekend, Katie! And I TOTALLY agree about the egg scramble-y thing. SO DELICIOUS. I can’t stop thinking about it. Which is kinda strange. Ha!
It seems silly to be obsessed with hotel buffet eggs, but I really am! It was great to meet you too!!
Hi Katie…hope you made it back safely. We had a long day yesterday…got home around midnight and then couldn’t go to sleep because there was so much to think about from the wonderful weekend we had!
I haven’t ever heard of Spotted Cow….but will maybe get to try that next year :). I love local brewed beer! ….and this is Jen talking not Emily haha.
Happy Monday to you!
Haha I figured as such! It was so great to meet you, I’m glad you traveled safely. Good luck adjusting back into real work today!
Love Spotted Cow! I’m glad you had fun this weekend! WAIT NEXT YEAR IT’S IN MADISON?!?!?! I am so there! This is the first time I’m hearing about this.
Usually there is quite a bit of gap between one year of HLS ending and the next year being announced. This year they announced at our breakfast on Sunday morning. So yes, hopefully I’ll get to meet you there!!
I adore Cards Against Humanity! Great to meet you this weekend
It was great to meet you too! Thanks for arranging the Townhall Brewery mingle, I loved it!
