For those of you who aren’t runners, I promise there are other aspects of my life, but right now running is just taking over! And here’s a little info about National Running Day from my post last year!

Here is one of my new favorite blogs to follow….Hungry Runner Girl! She had some great info about Timex, that I’d love for you to participate in!

Timex is celebrating National Running Day by having us tweet or post to Instagram with #IMARUNNER. For each eligible submission Timex is going to donate $5 (up to $15,000) toward One Fund Boston which helps those individual most affected by the tragic events of April 15, 2013. Timex will also be giving away 60 Timex Ironman watches to runners who use the hashtag.

I don’t know how someone submits their running story in one picture or in 140 characters, but my running story is basically this entire blog. In 2011 I set a New Years Resolution of completing 5 – 5ks, before that I would occasionally go on walks and maybe jog a little, but actual running was not something I did. I loved each and every one of those 5ks, and I still love 5ks, there is no such thing as “just” a 5k. In fact, I’m hoping to work on my 5k speed, but am thinking I’ll save that training for when my life is super busy and short runs are necessary. Right now I’ve got the time which is why last year I completed my first half marathon, and why in 17 days I’ll be attempting my first marathon!

Happy National Running Day! I’m teaching Sculpt at 5pm, but am planning on getting at least a mile or two done before then.



  1. Wow! I’m impressed. I used to run (before I had kids) but never made it past a 45 minute run. My husband has done a couple of half marathons and I know how much work that was to train for. I always admire people who make it the entire 26.2! Good luck.:)

    1. Thank you!! Its definitely something that I’m trying to get into before I have kids (so its maybe a little easier to keep up with once I do) but we’ll see! You look amazing though, so you must do some kind of workout!
