Keep It Moving

My mind is too full with competing ideas to write a thoughtful post. However a delicious lunch eaten outside is always a good place to start. I stopped at the Northern Waters Smokehaus in Canal Park with my lunch buddy and purchased 2 of their best selections.

One left you can see the Cajun Finn and on the right is the Northern Bagel.

The cajun is a delicious sandwich however, the simplicity of the bagel really won us both! Next time I’d like to buy their smoked salmon with dill and make my own sandwich at home.

This weekend did not go as well as I had hoped, and I have a lot of things on my mind. First of all, the water levels in Aitkin are still rising, you can read more information here. There are other things that are going on that I’m not quite willing to disclose, but when I am in doubt I check my horoscope on the Star Tribune website. Now I am aware that not every horoscope is accurate. However, in college there was a group of us who usually ate breakfast together and we would read our horoscopes and a few times they were pretty close to accurate.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).

You’re not very analytical these days and will instead drift to where your inner compass guides you.By doing the thing that makes you happy, you put a smile on someone else’s face, too.

Today the horoscope is really pretty true, generic, but true. I was all set to write a “woe is me” blog post, but between the thoughts that Faith wrote about putting everything is perspective, and knowing that we can choose our own happiness. I will spare you all that writing.

Instead I’m out to finish up a few things I had hoped to do earlier in the weekend. Hopefully the Sunday night blues will stay away!
